Dense monitoring of soil moisture & EC

Enabling localized irrigation and fertilization

Why

One key problem in agriculture is the lack of accessible, detailed knowledge about local variations in soil conditions. This uncertainty contributes to increased water consumption and the overuse of nutrients, affecting both productivity and the environment.

Worldwide, agriculture accounts for 70% of all freshwater usage, and the lack of efficient irrigation systems results in a significant waste. Moreover, excessive use of synthetic fertilizers is a major contributory factor to damaging environmental emissions.

In response to these challenges, BOTanist strives to provide accurate, timely data. This information aids in understanding variations in soil moisture and nutrients, making irrigation and fertilization more efficient. We believe in the potentials of knowledge-based agriculture.
